Mark Edwards

Mark Edwards is the founder and former managing director of Bioscience Advisors, which served the biopharma industry with an alliance database from 2011 to 2024. He previously worked as a senior partner at Deloitte from 2008 to 2010 and was the founder and managing director of Recombinant Capital from 1988 to 2008, a consulting and database firm that was later acquired by Deloitte.
A lifelong volleyball player, Edwards has played indoor, grass and sand volleyball for over 40 years and coached boys high school volleyball for 10 years. He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and political science in 1979 and an MBA in 1983, both from Stanford University. He serves on the boards of the Scripps Research Institute, AcelRx Pharmaceuticals, and ProLynx.
