How it Works
1. Apply May 1 - May 31
Complete and submit your grant application. Applications must be submitted by May 31.
2. Review June - July
All eligible applications are evaluated based on:
Alignment with our mission
Community impact
Program feasibility
Financial responsibility
3. Award August - November
Applicants will be notified of funding decisions beginning in August. Selected grantees will complete a grant agreement and required documentation before funds are disbursed in November.
4. Grant Period November - April
Grant funds support approved programs and activities during the grant period. The grant period runs through April 30.
5. Share Your Results Due May 31
Grantees submit a Final Report documenting program activities, outcomes, and how grant funds were used. Additional reporting may be required depending on the grant.

Do I need to be a nonprofit?
Yes. All grant awards must be made to IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) organizations. Organizations that are not tax-exempt may still be eligible by applying in partnership with an eligible 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor.
What types of programs do you fund?
We fund initiatives that grow volleyball and expand access, including:
Youth and grassroots programming
Underserved or adaptive volleyball initiatives
Coach and athlete development
Community outreach efforts
How are applications evaluated?
Applications are reviewed on:
Mission alignment
Impact and reach
Programming quality and feasibility
Responsible use of funds
When will I hear back?
Applications will be reviewed from June through July. Applicants will begin receiving notification of funding decisions in August. For approved grants, funds are expected to be disbursed in November, following completion of all required grant agreements and documentation.
What are the reporting requirements?
All grantees are required to submit a Final Report at the conclusion of the grant period.
The Report will include:
A narrative summary of the activities supported by the grant and the outcomes achieved.
A financial accounting of how grant funds were spent.
Any additional information or supporting documentation requested by USAVF.
The Final Report will be due no later than May 31 following the April 30 end of the grant period. Additional reporting requirements may apply depending on the grant.
Can I apply again if I’ve received funding before?
Yes. Previous grantees may apply again once all required reports have been completed.
What if my program changes after receiving funding?
If your project scope or budget changes, please contact us for approval before making adjustments.
What happens if I don’t submit a report?
Failure to submit required reporting may affect eligibility for future funding.
