Kathy DeBoer
Director
Kathy DeBoer is the chair of the LOVB Foundation and served as the executive director of the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) from 2006 to 2023. During her tenure, AVCA membership grew from 3,200 to 8,800 members. She was instrumental in securing a $150,000 seed grant for First Point Volleyball Foundation and led efforts to add beach volleyball as an NCAA emerging sport, which eventually became an NCAA championship sport. DeBoer holds a bachelor’s degree in humanities from Michigan State University, where she played both volleyball and basketball. She has 23 years of experience as a coach and administrator in intercollegiate athletics.
