Kathleen Theune

Kathleen Theune serves on the Advisory Board of Cohen Children’s Hospital. She worked as an elementary teacher and athletic trainer in West Islip, N.Y., and is originally from Long Island. She attended Dowling College, received a BA in psychology and a minor in elementary education, and was a part of the women’s volleyball team. She began her volleyball coaching career after having her two children, Ryan and Kelly. She coached players from middle school to varsity as well as club volleyball both on Long Island and in Florida. She received her CAP I certification and was a USA Volleyball High Performance evaluator. She is also a USA certified official. She lives in Vero Beach, Fla., with her husband Ethan. Her son Ryan is on the men’s volleyball team at Pepperdine, and her daughter Kelly is a sophomore at Palm Beach University and is on the women’s beach volleyball team.
