John Speraw
President and CEO, USA Volleyball
John Speraw is the president and chief executive officer of USA Volleyball. He served as head coach of the U.S. Men’s National Team from 2013 to 2024 and was head coach of UCLA men’s volleyball from 2012 to 2024.
He led the Men’s National Team to a bronze medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics, a bronze medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics, and a gold medal at the 2015 FIVB World Cup. Speraw joined the U.S. Men’s staff in 2007 under head coach Hugh McCutcheon, and in 2008 the team won gold at the Olympic Games in Beijing.
As head coach at UCLA, he led the Bruins to two NCAA national championships in 2023 and 2024. Previously, he was the head coach at UC Irvine, where he won three national championships. He has been part of 11 NCAA men’s championship teams.
Speraw was also the co-founder of the First Point Volleyball Foundation.
