Bill Scholl

Bill Scholl has recently retired after three decades of experience and success in administration at the college level, including service as vice president and director of athletics at Marquette University from 2015-2024. During his tenure at Marquette, the Golden Eagles captured 20 team BIG EAST championships. Prior to his tenure as Marquette’s AD, he served as director of athletics at Ball State University. Prior to Ball State, he served 23 years at Notre Dame where he finished as deputy athletics director. At Notre Dame, he was responsible for administration of men’s basketball, football, baseball and men’s soccer, as well as fundraising and donor relations, budgeting and growing external revenue. While at Notre Dame, he helped lead an $84 million athletics fundraising initiative. He is married to Julie, and they have three children and four grandchildren.
